The First Response Center operates a primary care clinic to serve economically disadvantaged persons living with and at high risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. Services are particularly designed for individuals who abuse substances and/or have mental health issues that complicate adherence to medication regimens.
The First Response clinic utilizes:
¨ Clinical outreach as a part of its medical care model which includes
- Directly observed therapy in the home
- In home clinical/psycho-social observation
¨ Primary medical care management
¨ Adherence counseling
¨ Specialty appointment support
¨ Lost-to-care outreach
¨ Linkage to all First Response Center supportive services
¨ Testing Services
